I can’t believe how fast this year is flying by! Although Spring is here in full force, I have yet to experience my yearly allergies, though my throat is feeling a bit tight. Since I moved home from Raleigh, my allergies have been nowhere near as bad as they were in the city. Not a lot of updates so far. I did plant a Fall Gold Raspberry on Sunday. It’s currently sitting cozy in a pot until next year. Planted some more seeds in peat pods yesterday: Early Scarlet Globe Radish. Fernleaf Dill, Honeyleaf Stevia, Cilantro, Early Acorn Hybrid Winter Squash, and Purple Vienna Kohlrabi.
The leeks, winter squash, and the kohlrabi are all vegetables that have never been cooked around our house so I’m looking forward to seeing what sort of creations will come from them. I enjoy cooking much more when it’s nicer weather outside, so expect to see more recipe posts coming soon. I haven’t forgotten about posting my Charleston trip – I just got a little too excited about gardening!
I’m working on a master list for the blog that will list all the edibles that are growing in the yard this year.
